The Mid-Autumn Festival ,also called Harvest Moon Festival , is a harvest festival celebrated notably by the Chinese people. The festival is held on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar with a full moon at night, corresponding to mid September to early October of the Gregorian calendar .
Mooncakes, a rich pastry typically filled with sweet-bean or lotus-seed paste, Traditionally,people get together to celebrate the harvest and eat mooncakes .
In this day , our company also held activities to celebrate the Mid-Autumn festival . We have dinner together and after the dinner ,we do the games . This games is a unique tradition to celebrated in south Fujian .On the festival, families and friends gather to play a game by 6 dice. People take turns in rolling the dice in a ceramic bowl with the results determining what they win. The number 4 is mainly what determines how big the prize is.
